Maybe it means incorrect region? That wouldn't explain the problem with home-burned discs though...Hi,
I have an RCA TV/VCR/DVD combo, model 27F500TDV (mfg Nov 2003) in my shop. When you try to play a DVD, a message, "Incorrect Disk" occurs. I also tried a home made DVD which has home videos recorded on the disk (same message). Note: I tried 3 other DVDs (same message). However, audio CDs will play just fine. Note: I cleaned the lens, which already looked very clean. Inside, everything is very clean.
If I replaced the DVD player assembly, will this fix the problem?
Thanks in advance, Brad
Before you type your password, credit card number, etc., be sure there is no active key logger (spyware) in your PC.
I'd start with a good cleaning. I doubt the DVD assy. would be available, but it might need a new laser - expensive..
