Sirius Starmate ST2 Thermal Problem

After installing a new Starmate Satellite receiver and antenna, I noticed
that when I turned it on first thing in the morning when it was cold (~30F),
"Acquiring Signal" was on the screen for up to 3 minutes before there was
reception. For the rest of the day, there was no problem getting prompt
reception when it was turned on (the unit wasn't too cold).

With the Receiver warmed up and running ok, I put it in the freezer for 15
minutes. When I put it in the car "Acquiring Signal" lasted 5 minutes.

Has anyone experienced this failure due to the cold with a satellite
receiver? I've ordered a replacement ST2 too see if this persists.
