It might taste good, but it ain't good for you. :)
That shows what little you know about Spam.
It was a military foodThat's actually good advise. I live in a area that has mild winters
ration to start with, Its a vital part of my emergency food supply
during hurricane season here in Florida. So what if I have to break my
normal diet for a few days, or even weeks while there is no electricity
or running water? It is an already cooked protein source that you need
to survive. Some other canned goods, crackers and bottled water and you
can survive till the lights are back on, and the stores reopen. Stick
the canned items into a black cloth bag and lay them on the dash of your
car or truck with the windows all rolled up will warm them up with solar
heat, and make it all go down a lot easier.
compared to you guys up north. We get the blackouts in the summer.
Up north? Where are you if Central Florida is up north?
Oh, I thought that you were up north. Didn't think about hurricane ally
in the south east. I couldn't live there. In California, we have our
earthquakes, so I'll take that over a hurricane any time.
Instead of heating on the dash of your car, do you have a propane
camping stove?
Not anymore. I have a propane stove in the kitchen, but I don't have
a tank for it, and I really don't want a couple hundred pounds of
Propane sitting around during a hurricane.
You do have a point...
What about a simple camping stove that uses a 1-2 pound bottle?
