Re: Help finding service bulletin for RCA tv

So can you see why people get frustrated trying to help you? If you can't
communicate relevant info and do so clearly, it is impossible to help.
Sounds like you are in over your head and you need to get it to a tech who
is experienced on the 169 chassis.

What I meant to say was when the picture goes out, sometimes the sound
will too, sometimes it wont.

I believe that you are confused with info from a later chassis. On the
CTC169 you might need to resolder some connections in the tuner, but not
add
any jumpers.

The sound problem is likely not related. Possibly some leaky caps in the
audio circuit. This likely goes beyond your capability, considering your
other posts.

I read in some doccuments about a Service bulletin n98-0005
something
to do with how to determine if jumpers are needed for my tuner
repair.
Does anyone know what this is and where can I read about it?

I have an older RCA with channels where the picture goes out and
pack
in and gets snow. Somtimes the audio goes out too sometimes not. I
think it is the infamous tuner ground problem and will crack it open
tonight.
