put finger to keyboard and composed:
A friend picked up a Toshiba MW24FP3 combo flat screen with DVD and VCR at a
yard sale that appeared to be magnetized. The re were large color blotches
on the left side and right top corner.
I tried degaussing it but to no avail . I even intentionally magnetized the
tube and the areas I magnetized cleared up with the degaussed.
Wondering if anyone has see this or could suggest the cause . I'm starting
to think it might have been dropped and some internal structural damage
occurred to the CRT
Thanks in Advance
BOB
Smack the face of the CRT with your palm. If the image wobbles, then
you have a detached shadow mask.
It probably was dropped.
