I have a lcd monitor with bad internal power supply. The power supply
is responsible for 12V to the video board. And then the video board
gives 12V to the inveter.
The voltage on the power board is not very stable, it jumps around
11.56- 12.45V and causes the LCD to shut down and restart every 0.5
second.
Question: Can i use a computer PC ATX power supply 12V to power the
video board and turn on the LCD and verify the condition of video
board ?
Thanks!
Sure, but that voltage range you're seeing shouldn't be a problem. Sounds like there's another fault in the monitor causing the load to fluctuate.
