my projector (TV) got zapped by lightning last night and i think i
have found the problem ( i hope) . there is a row of regulators
along
the back of the power supply board. one of them was destroyed by the
lightning, and i am trying to use the process of elimination to see
which one it is. i can't find any info on any of the part numbers on
the net. if i could fiqure out which one it is, i might could find a
substitution. on the heat sink, it has the following info printed.
+385v=.85a
+3.3v=1.5a
+5v=3.5a
+13v=1.0a
the part numbers i can read are as follows.

on one regulator..
17n80c3
in smaller print, g00624

on another...
b 1968
f20l60u

on another
gbu806
6227

maybe if i can identify which one of the regulator go with what
voltage circuit, i can fiqure out what the 4th one is and find a
suitible replacement. the busted regulator is one of the 2 smaller
regulators. if i can get
one of you guys to look up these numbers, i might can identify the
blown regulator. thanks in advance

anyone? anyone?

I can't quite figure out what your question is, Eddie, or the basis of
your diagnosis, or even your approach to the problem. Maybe a little
more clarity would elicit some suggestions from the techs in here.- Hide quoted text -

i don't have a schematic. i have 4 regulators for 4 different
voltages. i gave the part numbers for the three i can read. the
fourth is burnt. i gave the voltages amp draw of the 4 circuits on the
power supply. i thought some one could look at the part number,
compare them to the voltages and amps and make an educated guess as to
which voltage circuit the blown regulator was blown. knowing which
voltage and amp rating, it would seem a suitible replacement could be
found.- Hide quoted text -

a bit more info on the burnt component. i cleaned it and can see
partial numbers. here they are. somebody tell me what it is.

nk80zfp
k121 v3
chn637

remember, they may be partial numbers. first digit or two may be
missing.

supply?
