Anyway, my question is, what could be causing a monitor to turn brighter? Every
other monitor I know turns darker over time.
Defective 200V line electrolytic filter capacitor?.
Reduced capacitance due to drying electrolyte.
Doesn't charge to 180 or 200 volts anymore causing lower cathode
voltages thereby driving beam current up.
Usually a 22uF/250V.
