Sure it is. Why waste a perfectly good hydrocarbon fuel to make
hydrogen? If/when the day comes we need to process the sand and tar oils
of North America, the hydrogen won't come from methane. We don't have a
surplus of the stuff. On the other hand, we have plenty of nuclear fuel.
