Of course we are talking about a lot more billions than the elections take,
but still an interesting point. If you outspend your opponent by some
amount, how much more incompetent do you have to be to come out about even?
Are we really that easily swayed by a few really dumb ads? Shoot. This
republic is in danger. More even than Bush/Kerry, it is in danger of loosing
the participation of the minds and hearts of the citizens. I wonder if that
is why it is so depressing to me?
