So are open wood and coal fires. These and 'hit and miss' engines are
most notable for their survival. It's a fact that the 'hit and miss'
engine has actually our-survived the classical steam engine, and
that's saying something!

Regarding pollution, the worst polluters are the people that insist on
burning wood as a primary source of home heat in the winter.

So much for the environmental responsibility of the back to nature
crowd!
