Why would you want to waste so much of the energy content merely
turning it into hydrogen? Why not use it directly?
Virtually all landfill gas that is used, is used at the point of
generation to fuel a stationary powerplant. Converting a "near
natural gas" powerplant to hydrogen, and adding a "near natural gas to
hydrogen" conversion plant right next door, makes absolutely no
thermodynamic, economic, or ecological sense.
