RJY, you should do your homework on electrolysis, Dan has, as well as many on this NG. The negatives are based on knowledge, not arbitrary unknowing BS.

Humbly--Ed, BS Electrical Engineering, and
others on the NG have more education than I, which doesn't make them infallible, but you must do your homework to get respect.

I keep reading posts in this group from naysayers who say stuff like, "hydrogen is too expensive to manufacture using electolysis." It seems those people are convinced...
Ain't about believing. It is about numbers, doing the physics.
Are you ready to learn???
My goodness, I have NEVER seen such hostility or negative attitudes in any newsgroup before.
Welcome. Hard time hearing 'the is'????? Ready to crunch some numbers?
Absolutely I'm ready to learn. THAT'S WHY I ASKED!!! I came to this newsgroup expecting that there would be some people around who know more about it than I do. I never claimed to know much about it. I do think there is a bunch of noise on both sides of the issue.
Noise? You haven't done your homework.
What research materials can you provide links to?
Several years of postings here. I'm not your nanny.
I saw a PBS show a while back that featured both hydrogen fuel cell and hydrogen internal combustion engines. The only barrier to making this a reality, according to the show, was the lack of hydrogen production and, mainly, distribution facilities.
Yea???
Yes.
Do your homework. I won't hold your hand.
Seriously, folks. We have over 1 million prisoners incarcerated that we can use for labor to manufacture solar panels and wind turbines...
Labor is way cheaper in China. You must be special....
Prison labor is cheapest of all.
<Hmmmmmmmmm.> Can't say it doesn't work for me. But then, I was born in the U.S.
We have plenty of federal land to use for wind turbines, solar paneles, etc. We can dam rivers, use geo-thermal energy, and find other ways to
generate electricity for FREE...
?????????
Meaning that electricity can be dirt cheap.
?????? Like how? Real world counts now......
When you pay your electric bill, you AREN'T paying for the generation electricity, mostly. The bulk of what you are paying for isn't the actual generation of electricity--turbines, infrastructure, etc.
Bull***.
When you see that kw/hr figure, that includes mostly overhead--high union wages, big fat union pensions for all the employees, massive management compensation, etc. Factor that stuff out. Now, what does electricity cost to generate???
If we only lived in a Wallgreen's world. Get a clue....
that we can use to create hydrogen from water. What's the hold up? Seriously, I want to know! Edify me, please.
Bother to learn. On the other hand, you already sound like a typical
troll.
And you sound just like another dickhead who knows nothing but for some reason hangs out in a newsgroup to bash something he knows nothing about.
So? Grow some skin...
Now, why are you here? You sit and criticize, not offering anything substantive, just negativity.
So? You are clueless. Do your homework.
Maybe you should attend some anger management classes. Or find a woman you can beat the *** out of instead of being mean to people in a newsgroup. Dickhead.
Bawhawhawhawhaw...
Gee, you make me feel real bad. Idiot......
Best, Dan.
