Just for fun, I'm building a vertical wind tower right now. My costs are turning out to be relatively cheap, and the goal is to generate enough power to run a 300-400 watt device for 5 hours a day.

I've gotten a lot of material from other peoples junk and I've spent about 300$. I'm mostly doing it for entertainment, but also as a early reading into how much of my time I want to invest in windpower on the longer term.
