Energy is not that easy.
Sure it is.
Potential doesn't tell you nothing about the energy content.
Right. As long as you intended the double negative.
1 - I can have a lot of pressure but very small energy content.
So?
2 - I can have a lot of electric potential that produces no work.
So?
3 - I can have a large temperature difference and produce no work.
So?
4 - I can have a large relative motion difference and produce very little or no work.
So?
Examples: 1 - A sonoluminesce bubble. 2 - "Vandergraph" generator 3 - A nail a 1000 degrees 4 - A dust particle in orbit at 1,000 m/s
Examples of what?
Moreover, energy content here on Earth will not be the same in the Moon, or Jupiter, or any other place.
Yes. So?
How do you define energy so that energy won't change over place to place ?
You don't. But this was settled over one hundred years ago.
Here is one for your bag of quandaries. A photon leaves a quasar taking x amount of energy. But here on earth we see the photon with < x amount of energy. Does the photon 'have' energy? No, it conveys energy. Energy is a relative quantity. Problem solved.
