There's a theory that says that the less proficient you are at a subject,
the more likely you are to overestimate your own proficiency. Most of the
nutbars you get here have just enough proficiency in their fields to think
that they know all of it.
Don says the same thing in a different way in a lot of his articles -
inventors are usually people who have no idea where the start of the art
actually is. *
