Solid Oxide fuel cells can internally convert CO to H2 and make electricity.
Unless the fuel cell contains the Philosopher's Stone, that's complete
nonsense. *

No magic, the fuel cell creates H20 internally from H2 + O2. H20
reacts with the CO creating CO2 and H2. The H2 combines with O2 making
more water. The output of this fuel cell is H20 and CO2
The other posible reaction I have seen is CO + O2 creating CO2 plus
free electrons. And H2 + O2 creating H20. Once again the output is CO2
and H2O.
I don't know which is correct, both are documented.
