Hydrogen combustion pollutes

Hydrogen combustion in ICE's is not the clean/green fuel that everyone
thinks it is.
The trouble is that if you use Hydrogen as a fuel you have to add air to get
your oxidiser. Air is mostly Nitrogen. When you heat air inside a
combustion chamber some of the Oxygen is going to mix with the Nitrogen and
this will become Nitrous Oxide. I thought that this was a pollutant gas. Am
I wrong?
