I've read about the relative cost of fuel cells, but perhaps things are
different in Africa. Time will tell. If the equipment cost, operation and
maintenance of hydrogen fuel cells is the tiniest bit less than batteries or
fossil fuel generators, then hydrogen fuel cells (along with hydrogen
storage) will take the remote and backup power scene by storm. Actually, if
hydrogen fuel cells systems are the tiniest bit less expensive than the
alternative, then they would already have taken the remote and backup power
scene by storm.
