If you are going to burn hydrogen, you should burn it in a fuel cell. IMO
the only energy advantage of hydrogen is that it can be burned in a fuel
cell without fuel modification. If you are going to burn something in an
ICE, there are better fuels. Good luck getting a car with a fuel cell,
getting the hydrogen, cramming enough into the car to get anywhere and not
having an accident and incinerating yourself.

PV-H2 should pop up anytime and provide a number of links about H2. Then
try wikipedia and finally do a google search. There are hundreds of
articles with good and bad information. Try to figure out which is which.

Why do you consider a fuel cell to be advantageous?

Fuel cell use chemical energy directly, not through heat, so they are not restricted by efficiency of Carno cycle and so theoretically (and practically) can achieve higher efficiency in converting hydrogen chemical energy to electricity or car movement.
I myself doubt that this would be enough to make hydrogen viable car fuel. Too difficult to transport and store. May be eventually fuel cells on some more convenient fuel like methanol / ethanol / gas will work.
Note that Bio organisms use fat or sugar, not hydrogen, as energy reserve. (of course life is far ahead of us in fuel cell like technology).
