If you want to talk about energy storage that doesn't exist yet but has some
real energy posibilites, how about ultra capacitors and cheap lithium
batteries. I know neither exist now but if they did, they would become the
basis of a short commuter or hybrid industry that could stand on its own.

Compressed air is more dangerous than liquid fuel and not as energy dense.
About 20 years ago, I saw the remains of a man after the head was knocked
off a nitrogen tank. The tank blasted across the building, through the man
and on outside. A 1200 caliber bullet makes quite a mess.

Hydrogen is not going to fly, imagine where we would be with the
development of cairs if they had the same amount of funding that
hydrogen has received. I have the technology to make it happen! So
jump of the hydrogen ship while you still can and hop into the future
of Cairs.
