Adjust power mirrors, actually.
Provided we do not do so too often.

That's not entirely fair. There is an estimated 4 billion tons of ag
isper year. There are also approximately 90 million acres in CRP. That
becomesalot of potential power. It will be realistic to use it when oil
expesive enough
The reason ag waste is ag waste is that nobody can find a net energy use
for it.
Ag waste is an extremely diffuse resource.
Gathering and processing that resource often consumes far more energy
and capital than is recoverable.
For instance, around ten percent of the cotton around here gets plowed
under, because a second picking or sweeping is not cost effective.

I agree ag waste is not usefull when oil sells for $20 a barrel and
investment in ag waste is not rational when there is the threat of $20 a
barrel oil.
There is a tremendous ammount of heat in ag waste, prairie grass, even
garbage. The only reason not to use it is more convenient, cheaper fuel.
Economics will eventually determine what happens to this resource. To say
it doesn't exist is not accurate. To claim it is the answer to all of our
problems is a pipe dream.
We will get through the next 50 years with nuclear, more petro exploration,
conservation and to some extent utilization of some of our waste biomass.
In fact, I heat my house with waste biomass now.
