We can realistically come up with enough ethanol and biodiesel
to do what, maybe power agriculture, heavy equipment and trains?
Enough cellulosic ethanol to replace about half of our current
gasoline consumption, according to a study by GM:

Well, we can come up with about 1.3 billion tons of biomass
according to a study by the USDA and DOE with agressive
forest harvesting and 10 ton/acre yields on grass crops like
swichgrass and miscanthus relatives. At about 15.8E+6 btu/ton
that gives us around 20 quad worth of feedstock, about half
of our current use for transportation.
You're left with about 10 quad by the time you get to a liquid
and you still haven't completely subtracted energy invested.
Are they including agricultural waste?
