As much as I hate to include hemp because of the marijuana connection ... it
was mentioned on an interview lately by a caller (who sounded stoned) ...

280 lbs, approximately 40 gallons.

Seed crops require lots of nutrients and water to get any
kind of appreciable yield. If you could come up with the
land needed to make crop fuels viable, you're probably
better off pursuing grass crops as opposed to seed crops.



This table is very interesting but there should be a component about how
much energy comes from each gallon, no?


Neighborhood of diesel at around 140K BTU/gal. Different
I'm sure, but not enough to turn a loser into a winner.
