EV's typically use 0.3 to 0.5 kwh/mile. Using electricity
with Olah's reverse fuel cell, electrolyis at 67%, reverse
fuel cell at 35%, fuel cell again at 35%, you need 3.6 kwh
to finally get 0.3 kwh to the wheel. Batteries and electric
drivetrains aren't 100% efficient but they certainly beat
those figures.

Isn't electtrolysis more like 45% efficient?
And you didn't factor in pressurization or the costs of hauling around a
half
ton of steel bottles.

Hydrogen is simply a non-starter. The sooner that subsidies for
'research' are
removed and used for something with a future, the better.

I disagree with you because I'm fixed on methanol (at least until you guys
educate me) and hydrogen is a necessary step in the production of
methanol, it seems.

Ok, I'll bite. Why methanol?
