There are ---> no <--- practical hydrogen generators for use on cars.
If you are serious about experimenting with hydrogen injection on a vehicle, you buy your hydrogen by the tank from your nearby hydrogen store.
Later you go to an exhaust gas driven reformation system or something that IN NO MANNER involves electrolysis.
Be sure to observe the DOT orange book recommendation of 2600 feet from any occupied structure during your experiments.
