Wouldn't the inner
earth cool as the energy is transferred to the surface? Just a question.
*Minutely* yes in principle. But since there's apparently an ongoing nuclear
reaction ( nuclear decay actually which is exothermic ) in the core it's of
little consequence anyway.
This is an example of where a little science would help you see the big picture.
