As an afterthought, here another excellent article on Maxwell's
Equations found by using Google.

The claim that Maxwell's equations are today different from his
originals is totally laughable. Only his notation is different, because
vector notatation had not yet come into general use.
Maxwell himself published his work in the journals. IIRC correctly, the
title of the paper was "A Dynamical Theory of the Electromagnetic
Field". Copies of the orignal paper are available in every major
university library, and is generally required reading by all students
studying electromagentic field theory.

Using Google for a bit longer, you likely can come up with a scan or
the original Maxwell paper.

Did you read some of the discussions at the bottom of the page....
Discussion doesn't mean a thing. Not in 130 years has there ever been a
contradictive observation to Maxwell's equations. That is the crux.
If these guys could show a contradiction, all hell would break loose.
Best, Dan.
People who have researched the issue claim Maxwell's original
equations are not the ones used today. They were corrupted somewhere
along the line.
It's been discussed here in the past.
