can anyone calulate how much energy is wasted in heat that is radiated from

Here in Western australia they think it helps with road safety?????
Cheers all
Head lights during daylight restore a small degree of visibility to motor
cycles in adverse visibility conditions (and as far as motorcyclists are
concerned, almost every condition is adverse to their being readily visible),
and in the rear vision mirror help to catch the eye of a motorist on country
roads when any following vehicle pulls out to pass, especially when the
driver of the overtaking vehicle in daylight considerately flicks his lights
for a moment to high beam as he pulls out into the overtaking lane. I'm not
sure whether that would contravene any road laws?
