Isn't the trick that it it only works in Iceland because they use
geothermal heat for steam reformation? Can't do that elsewhere without
a volcanoe or two.
iceland has some interest for such an experimentation, it has some wasted geothermal energy , sure ...
and the country is rather small , with the vast majority of roads and vehicles concentrated in a somehow narrow belt around the island, and probably with a majority of short distance trips , which simplifies also things for distribution ...
but , it's been I think about 10 years , and since there were already hydrogen cars in demonstration 10 years ago, one could think something substancial could be seen
however, it seems to me that the famous Shell refil station has some difficulties operating everyday ... so (?)
I think it would be good to see the experiment going on even , since it is in a small area , mistake would not be so large and a lot of good and bad would be learned about hydrogen use (the topic is often approached in very irrational ways..)
