Someone once gave me a book by Noam Chomsky and while much of what he
said was accurate, he said it in such a way that most people were
alienated by his tone. I went to a talk that Chomsky gave once after
that when I was in Cambridge Mass, and privately at the Hasty Pudding
after (MIT and Harvard are within a stone's throw of one another) I
asked about his tone and the possibility that his work amounted to
nothing more than black propaganda to attract malcontents, but not
really promote his more sensible views. His response?
