The thing is for the most part, William Mook doesn't spew
gobbledygook. Most of what he writes is clear, structured and backed
up with references and basic math. No one has been able to look at
his solar hydrogen ideas and say "it is impossible for that to work
and this is why." However, his most important points tend to be
unverifiable. He claims he can produce CPV power at $.07 per peak
watt. Amazing if true. But impossible for us to prove or disprove.
However, when Mook get on the subject of Mach 3 airliners and appears
to be way off base on the likely costs of such a program, it does tend
to undermine his credibility.
