Excuse me poking my nose in but you forgot to mention that all real
systems have losses. The conservation is far from perfect.

Nobody has said the losses will not be there.
It is a simple problem with using as much as you can
without it getting lost.

So don't convert it into something else in the first place.
Its you that wants to take petrol and convert it to hydrogen in a
very poor way just to "save" petrol.
And when you say the electricity is free just remember the generator I
posted a link to earlier.. if its free why does it need petrol?
It only produces electricity and waste just like a car alternator.

So if we don't try to convert it, we should just forget hybrids
also. since they are wasting that hp according to you.
and..
I don't say the electricity is "free" in that manner at all.

So you have played the maths is too hard for me card.
The maths says hybrids do what they say on the tin.

No,
I am again saying what math shows that some energy
being conserved can not be used again just as with a hybrid.
Again, you are saying hybrids should not work at all if
they take away hp of the engine.

Don't attempt to say what I said, you have no idea what anyone has said.
