: Elastic terminology. When talking about N2, a one percent concentration
: in air is "a bit". When talking about NOx, a one percent concentration in
: air is "a ton". This is actually reasonable when one considers the usual
: usage of "a bit" as "enough, in context, to have only a small effect".
Ah. Now this starts to make sense. But even so, is there most often
something like a one percent concentration of N2 in lox? Or "enough"
anyways. Sounds like you are saying there is. Which would fully explain
what I was puzzled about.
