What would an Ice Age caused by human harvesting of wind energy be, if not a
climate impact?
Look -- the real point is that there is No Easy Choice when it comes to energy
supply.
Some of the bran muffins who push wind farms (in someone else's back yard, of
course) pretend that wind energy is "green". They simply don't know whether
that claim is true.
Qualitatively, all large scale forms of energy have impacts. Some of those
impacts have been studied to the point of exhaustion (e.g., nuclear wastes).
Others have hardly been studied at all (e.g. climate impacts of large scale
wind power).
Your long post demonstrates just how much more study would have to be done
before we could get a good handle on how big the climate impacts of large scale
wind power would be. Until then, good environmentalists would have to demand
implementation of the Precautionary Principle -- no wind farms until we know
the full possible consequences of their long term large scale use.
