It is worth looking at "The Satanic Gases", by Michaels & Balling (Cato, 2000).
 Balling wrote an earlier book that was even more balanced.

To summarize their argument, there is very little factual data supporting the
idea of anthropogenic global warming. Most of the "support" comes from the
unsupported predictions of large -- but still very crude -- mathematical
models. And even those mathematical models predict that the average global
temperature goes up mainly because the temperature goes up in places like
Siberia, in mid-winter, at night.

Natural global warming (a big factor in the Earth's climate, responsible for
the average global temperature being about 60 Farenheit degrees higher than it
should be) is mainly due to water vapor -- the Number 1 greenhouse gas. Adding
less than a hundredth of a percent (in absolute terms) of CO2 to the atmosphere
makes no difference when the air already contains several percent of water
vapor (e.g., in temperate latitudes). But that additional CO2 can make a
difference where the air is extremely dry -- Siberia, mid-winter, at night.

Should we hand society over to the Neo-Stalinists and condemn billions of human
beings to live in poverty in order to prevent the temperature lows in Siberia
rising from, say, -40 deg F to -38 deg F? That would be a very debatable
trade!
