False. This was shown the moment the Sierra Club
switched from supporting it to opposing it.

In general, a power source is shown to be really a poser source
if large amounts of money with no readily discernible
connection to fossil fuel revenue are available for its advocates.
Thus, as long as windpower was every commercial environmentalist's
favourite thing, it was an energy sink,
but now they're beginning to turn on it because it is beginning,
in the small way that is typical of beginnings,
to threaten fossil fuel revenue.
