A search for oldest wind turbine turned up a project by Princeton, MA.
The article said they are replacing the original turbines installed in 1984.
The new ones will produce 40 times the power of the old ones. It doesn't
say if the old ones are being replace because of efficiency or because
they're getting worn.
Think about sea going vessels. Those things last for years. I think it
was the USS Missouri that was used during the Vietnam war. It was on that
ship that the Japanese signed surrender papers to end WWII.
