It's still better than nothing, even if the traditional methods of
growing it often use lots of fossil fuel inputs. I would prefer, of
course, that they start using biofuel inputs, sewage based fertilizers
and other green alternatives. But I bet that Bush will scale back
ethanol production, if anything. What makes anyone think that he's
gonna listen to good advice from his cabinet secretaries. He
consistently ignored advice from Colin Powell and John O'Neill and many
others. The most that Bush was interested in is to get a bit of a free
ride off the environmental credentials of others, without having to do
anything himself.
