Then why isn't water continuously flowing from the poles to the
equator? There is no resistance to the free flow of water in the
oceans. I understand about the cetrifugal effect. The water has
already moved to the equator though. Do you imagine that if you set up
your pipe, that water will flow forever until the poles are dry? Think
that through a little more.
