I seem to remember a lot of press in the late 80's and early 90's about
fusion research, particularly cold fusion, and then....nothing,
crickets chirping...
I know this was partially due to the loss of funding for the
super-conducting supercollider project in [Texas?], but has nothing
significant been done in the last few years? Fusion was the energy hope
of the future. Now it all seems to be in biomass, wind, and solar.
Anyone have some fresh news or sources to share?
