Nonsense. A funnel of, oh say, 5m diameter with a 'high speed windmill'
would *definitely* cost more than a three-blade windmill of 5m diameter.
The weight of the funnel and support structure would be much larger than
that of a windmill/turbine of similar cross-sectional area. The funnel
would *not* collect more energy from the wind than a windmill of the same
diameter. On the contrary it would collect much less (the exit losses from
the 'high-speed windmill' alone would be horrendous.
Weighs more, costs more, turning-mechanism would require more power and
strength, collects less energy. This is supposed to be a good idea?? *NOT*
