There is no safe power, there is no safe power, there is no safe power.
All energy sources have dangers and environmental consequences. Holding
nuclear energy up as something which requires scientific proof of being
'safe' isn't the way to go. Rather, the dangers & environmental
consequences of all energy sources should be compared, per usable
kilowatt hour, so we can choose 'safer' forms of power.
