i am trying to work out my cars mpg using the common method of filling
the tank to the brim, driving till nearing empty and then refilling to
calculate gas consumed using the trip counter mile reading.
the major problem is how to 'fill' the tank to a consistent level.

Re: Stag fuel leak ... the tank before I drove off and this was a drip every second. ... I'd left it for half an hour the leak had stopped and it's now bone ... It was coming from underneath the car I think the fuel ... Just don't brim it next time, ... (uk.rec.cars.maintenance)
