Does it make a big difference, where the auto-cut off is? I would have thought that it was accurate enough to get a good estimate of your mpg.... especially if you do it often enough...
Tom Simonds a écrit :
when I do it I start out by filling 'er up, then noting milage. Then, drive about 800 miles. Keep track of all the gas you bought round off to the second decimal. This hopefully eliminates discrepancies arising from not knowing whether or not you really filling 'er up. Because of that auto shut-off thing, it may give you false estimates of how far you've gone on one tank of gas. My toyota: 28.3 MPG.
Note: I got a big improvement from using those spark plugs with two spark gaps. However, my Corolla's manual says to use those. Try them out. Those slightly more expensive spark plugs will save me $3,500.00 over the life of the car. No guarantees that it will work that way for you.
