Is this discussion for real? After all this time, are people still so
uninformed or self-deluding?

Hydrogen on earth would be an energy carrier, not an energy source.
Exactly analogous to an electric cable.

It takes energy -- lots & lots of energy from somewhere else (e.g., a
nuclear plant) -- to extract hydrogen from some compound (e.g., water).
The hydrogen is then oxidized (by combustion or in a fuel cell), which
releases energy and forms water vapor -- the primary global warming gas
on this planet.

Hydrogen is irrelevant to the major energy issue, which is developing
effective primary sources of energy to replace fossil fuels. Because
the use of hydrogen would put additional water vapor into the
atmosphere, it is also would not solve the hypothetical anthropogenic
global warming issue.

Can we all just move along now?
