I appreciate your comments. You're right that either the car slows or
more gas must used to maintain speed. My point is not that nothing
happens when my rotor pops up but that the amount of more gas that must
be used is still less than that which the vehicle engine uses to drive
the vehicle alternator - which is from 4 - 30 hp, while the rotor needs
only 1 - 2 hp to produce the same amount of power. The net savings are
from 2 - 28 hp, or an average of 15 hp. My calculations amount to
about a 10% savings in fuel usage, but until further testing, it's
still only a guess.
