Bull! Solar energy alone could provide ALL of the energy we could ever
need. It just has to be collected.

Interesting fact: It may take about 100KW to power a car. If the average
insolation is about 1KW per Sq. Meter and if collection is 10% efficient, it
would take 1000 SqM to produce the required power for one car. That's an
area 32 Meters on a side. Now think about that a minute. Except for the
most crowded freeways, the sun light falling on the roadways is nearly
enough to power the cars on that road way with no other area required at
least in daylight.

I am not trying to suggest that we put solar cells on cars but simply
illustrating the prodigious influx of energy that is all about us.
Furthermore it is absurd to think we could ever run out of energy when all
we really need to do is collect a small fraction of what already falls on
us. The trick is going to be to get the price and payback period down.
