I guess you might have something a few times worse than Chernobyl, in a
remote area. this might lead to several hundred deaths - perhaps
something as bad as 9/11, and a hundred square kilometres needing major
decontaminaiton.
If terrorists had a nuclear bomb, central London, New York, or Paris
would be a more deadly place to blow it than Sizewell or Dungeness.
(Unless you live in Ipswich or Rye).
