Natural Gas Pipelines

How much energy does it take to move natural gas through a pipeline?
Use any units that are convenient, for example: joules per metric ton
per kilometer. Is there a standard set of units used in the industry?
If possible, also give diameter and operating pressure of the pipeline.
Thank
you,
Peter
